Found my Best Friend or she found me

I just saw a comment from AnneH and it took me a moment to know who it was but there it was a posting from my "Best Friend" Anne..I did want to reply to her but all she has is AnneH and that is it?? Anne you need to fill your blog or least put it on to receive comments!!

Layout

Yes, once again I have changed my background. I just can't find the right one, and I wish I could go on to the other websites and post My OWN layout...Hopefully I can tac down my daughter to show me.

I am at work right now and for the first time in 4 or so years we are not having a 4 day weekend during Labor Day weekend, very depressing. In a way we all sort of assume we are and this year we were told "H.R is Open". The numbers in the Hospital are down so it would really help the numbers if we took off. I almost feel like we are being punished in a way...last week our VP tried to contact all of us in the department and came over here to see where we were? The lights had gone out so everyone was sitting in my office that had the most light from the bay window I have. I had my phone on speaker phone because we were all talking to Beth Brill and as we hung up our VP walks in very upset we could see, questioning where we wear? Then as fast as she came she left. That was the same day we were told by our VP that we were open. We hoped she would change her mind sometime today but she just called to tell us that we are coming in tomorrow even though Administration sent e-mails out begging employees to take off, we could
not....I know we still have a 3 day weekend but when you get use to something it's hard...Anyway I just needed to vent....Have a Great Labor Day Weekend!!!!!!

Almost Done

Well my Bathroom is almost finished. I just have to find the right accessories. I did find a multicolor blue rug, it had colors related to the new color for my Bathroom. Looking at the photo it does not really give you a good look of the color on the walls. It is a hard color to describe because it's not really turquoise it's a little deeper. The rug really really brings out the color I love it. (Three times a charm I guess). Now I have to find just the right accessories...it's alot harder than you think, believe me I am perfectionist! Once I'm done I will have a few more pictures..stay tuned!

A calm Saturday-

Today was a calm Saturday because there was nothing to do so I got to do what I wanted. I got up early (Thanks to Ayden) did my laundry and sat down to watch some TV shows I had taped. Around 10:30 am Al came by to see what he was going to do next on my house, so he will start on Monday again. After he left I went to the Boynton Beach mall because I have not been there for a while. I walked around for a while and checked out all the sales and saw all the Winter attire coming out, very nice. I walked to the food court and ate and then treated myself to some Dairy Queen Ice cream. My cell phone rang and of course it was Cassandra. I then decided my calm Saturday had to come to a end. I am watching my Grandson Ayden tonight because this is his mothers "Birthday Weekend" Yes, Weekend not day. For as long as I can remember Cassandra and her Christine (her best friend) have the same birthday. They met the first day of High school and have been "Buds" ever since. Anyway tonight they are having a "Girls Sleepover" like they use to in the "Old Days" I know she is a mom but she is still so young at heart so I offered to Babysit, as long as she is home by 9:00am. I'm o.k with it....maybe I'll tell you about my crazy Saturday , it always is when I'm watching Ayden,...wish me luck!

New Jersey

Here is a picture of my best friend Anne and her son Brian. Anne lives in New Jersey in the area of my old home town Tenafly. I left New Jersey to move Florida

on February 12, 1995. I miss New Jersey alot these days. I brought a couple of my VHS tapes to be put on DVD and one of those tapes was my "Going Away Party" It really brought back so many memories and feelings. The party was given by of course Anne and it was in her parents Huge house in Tenafly. Everyone I knew was there, my girlfriends, co-workers, Aunts & Uncles, Cousins and of course my Family. When I turned on the DVD I had no idea what was on them, and when I turned on the first one was my party opening up with my dad and I Hugging. I had chills run down my arms, I was not expecting that. As I watched I was remembering all the love I had there and still Do. Anne and I are still best Friends after 14 years of living here in Florida. I go to NJ When I can and my girlfriends, Maria, Irene, Linda, Carla, Liz, and of course Anne are back together like I never left. When I am with these girls I laugh and laugh from the gut and I think to myself that I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard. They are the most amazing friends any person could have. I have made so very good friends here in Florida also, Joyce has always been the one person I could really talk to. Joyce and I have never had a Fight, not once in the 14 years we have know each other. Joyce was the 1st person who really spoke to me at JFK and we have been friends ever since. We not keep in touch every day or week but I know she would always be there if I needed her and me for her as well. I have been so blessed to have all these special people in my life.

Hurricane DUD..!

Well today we had Hurricane/Tropical Storm Faye. It was really nothing at all. Yes there was a tornado in Wellington (they think, not confirmed) and alot of rain and wind but compared to Wilma and all the others this was nothing. I guess it was a good "Test Run" but I hope that is all we have for this year. We lost our power at work today and just as my boss was ready to send us home on went the lights..UGH! Talk about big let down...... There is no school today and all the goverment and county offices are closed but not JFK Medical Center..We were so slow in the office that we really could have been closed because we do not deal with Patient Care..Anyway the day seems to be dragging because of the lack of work. I like to be busy because it makes the day fly by. One good thing is that my daughter Cassandra has no school tonight so I don't have to babysit my very active grandson, I can relax and let "Mom" deal with him. As the saying goes "Grandchildren can always be returned to their parents after you spoil them"..It is So true!

Changed My Mind "Again"

Well once again I have changed the color of my Bathroom, this would be the 3rd color now. I just wasn't happy with the pinks I was using. Fianlly my daughter brought home some pamplets from Home Depot and there is was, "My Perfect Bathroom" I already had the cherrywood, sink/cabinet and mirror so all I needed to buy was the color which was a beautiaful sort of aqua or mild turqoise color. I couldn't wait to get home and start. I did the 1st coat with in a hour. I stood back and said to my self "This is it" The color is amazing. I will take a photo once I am done and now I have to look for more Decor with the colors I have now. I can't wait until it's done...You'll see it soon!!

My Home is Changing

I am seeing my house change by the day. I still have alot to do but what I've done so far is beauI tiful. The wood floors are done upstairs and now he is working on the stairs. I can see he is frustrated with the stairs because they look hard to do. He has only gotten as far as 2 steps. Luckily he has no other jobs this week so he can work on my house all week. I can't wait until they are done and then he can finish up on my bathroom. Once I have everything done I will snap some shots for all to see.

My New Passion

Lately I have had an obsession with weddings. I started watching the WE channel about 2 months ago and they have all these shows about real life weddings. Some of the shows are silly and I can't believe some of the stories but My favorite one is "Platinum Weddings" it shows you a different and very extravagant wedding on each show. Most of these weddings are $100,000 or more. You can get so many ideas from these shows. My daughter always talks about her wedding telling me everything she wants. One thing I know for sure is that it will be a 1940'S

theme weddings. She loves the music, the dresses. etc from those years thanks to my parents who introduced her to all of that. Everything else will be what I suggest because she knows I have the taste as her.

Calm Weekend (So Far)

So far this weekend has been peaceful, so far...I have had the house all to myself since 9: 00 am this morning ( it is now 6:30 pm). My family went out to do many things they have planned for the day. So far I have done most of my cleaning, laundry, Etc. I have had time to sit down and visit alot of different blogs, I never have time to do that. There are such beautiful blogs out there.

One day I will learn how to do this "Blog" thing alot better then "Look OUT"...
